For years we were told that to make real movies you needed huge crews, months of work, and impossible budgets.
So we decided to test it out.
We took inspiration from The Thing ❄️👽 and created a fictional sequel: “The Thing – Contingency.”
The experiment was simple (and a little provocative):
👉 How long does it take a single person to complete ALL the pre-production for a CGI horror film using AI as a co-pilot?
🎯 Storyboard
🎯 Character and creature design
🎯 Vehicles and environments
🎯 Animatics with music and effects
🎯 Production key art
Result: 3 days. What a team of 20 people used to do in 3 months.
It's not magic.
It's not pressing a button.
It's about judgment, style, art direction… and using the tools of today instead of clinging to outdated methods.
💀 The real terror isn't AI.
⏳ The real terror is continuing to waste time.
If you work in film, CGI, concept art, or video games, this video is going to make you uncomfortable (and that's a good sign).
